Daniel 2:39...
39And after thee,(Babylonian Empire), shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee,(Read along in Daniel 5:25-28)...
28PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
We are not making this up as we read it...it is sure and clear...Medes and Persians...

25And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. (What Language is this? And who is writing?)
26This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
28PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
