1 John 5:13 ,"Eternal Security!"

My wonderful wife asked me a very interesting question last evening. It kind of went like this, can a person go there whole life creating, taking part in horrible crimes/sins and be saved at there last moment of life? My wife always has great questions! I am by no means the know it all! But I do Love to read the Bible, here it goes... we read In 1 John 5:13:

¹³ "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
We read: 1 John 2:1
¹My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."
We read: 1 john 2:2
²And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
I ask myself, "Self," are all sins forgiven? The Bible says "the sins of the whole world." To be continued.... let me know what you are reading in your Bibles about sin, forgiveness of sin. How are sins forgiven, when are sins forgiven, are all sins forgiven. How about past sins, present sins and future sins. Does it matter, if you think it does or if you think it doesn't, let me know.
